Illustration & Printmaking
I create work in a range of different media but my first favorite one was pen and ink. I will typically create an illustration by hand with ink and add color and value digitally. I also incorporate gouache, acrylic, water color, pastel and more as I see fit. I love the task of representing a story, be it a true one or a fairytale.
My other medium of choice is relief printing. I carve wood or linoleum to create a series of prints with a press. My subject of choice for these prints are the various animals I encounter in the wild, at home, at Center for Wildlife or just am fascinated by.
